Even though I have not had a great deal of time to dedicate to this blog, I still wanted to share with you more information on how you can develop your small business or entrepreneurial dreams.
Through a random Google search that I conducted looking for information on entrepreneurship and small business in the larger Trenton, Mercer County area, I stumbled across a resource that the Mercer County Office of Economic Opportunity is offering to its residents.
The Mercer County Office of Economic Opportunity is offering a Loan Fund that provides anywhere from $25,000 to $125,000 in aid to start-up and expanding businesses in Mercer County. To access the application, please click here.
The funds can be used for real estate, furniture, equipment, inventory, marketing and advertising, among other things related to your business. To apply for these funds, there is a $30 application fee that is payable to the Regional Business Assistance Corporation.
The application should be submitted through the Mercer County Office of Economic Opportunity.
The loan package requirements are as follows:
The business must be located in Mercer County
Completed & signed application along with $30 application fee
Three years of personal income tax returns and W2’s
Three years of business tax returns (if already in business)
Business plan for all start-ups
Financial projections
Copy of draft lease (if applicable)
Evidence of owner’s contribution to the project
Copy of operating agreement for all corporations and LLC/P’s
Evidence that the business is current on all state payroll and sales taxes
